The Antique Flower Basket is a reproduction of an 1840 hooked rug. Flowers inspired early needlework designs and were used on rugs, curtains, bed hangings, and many small objects. They were worked in crewel, cross stitch, needlepoint, and other forms of stitchery. Janet has used vintage colors in keeping with the original piece. The finished miniature hooked rug is 1-3/4" x 3-1/4".
