Ripley Ohio Underground Railroad Collection is inspired by the antique quilts and the lore of the Signal quilts. These quilts are said to have guided African Americans on the Underground Railroad toward safe havens in the north. The quilts may also have been symbolic and grown out of an allegiance to President Lincoln; a log cabin president.
